Buy me some peanuts and….well….any food you can imagine!

Last year was the first time since I was 9 (now 24) that I did not go to at least one MLB game. It was sad for several reasons:

I have been to several stadiums, most in the United States but some abroad. After some consideration and deliberation, AMERICA (both Canada and USA) trump any other places I have ventured to in terms of sports venues. And England is lagging behind. Poutine at the Ottawa Senators game, hot chocolate at the New York Jets game and chicken fingers at Yankees Stadium are just the beginning of a long list of delicacies.

On the other hand, food at Wembley Stadium was just OK and the nachos at Emirates were cold and lacked substantial cheese action. The pies at Lord’s Cricket Ground were tasty, but where’s my mash and gravy?! Don’t worry London. You did pretty well at Wimbledon….the fish and chips were class for stadium food and portions were pretty decent for the value.

You must be wondering by now if I actually LIKE sports or just the excuse to eat copious amounts of food at their homes. The answer is BOTH! 🙂
