Savannah….

I’m not sure how I forgot to announce this – probably because I have been listening to too much Taylor Swift – but I finally planned a trip to Savannah, GA with my best friend and travel buddy, Jen. We’ll be going in June so it should be nice and toasty warm….perfect for summer dresses. Why Savannah you ask? Because we wanted to go to a place that is impossible to spell, duh! No, really the biggest appeal, at least for me, has to be the food. I cannot begin to explain how excited I am for southern comfort food! Fried green tomatoes, she crab soup, sweet tea, hushpuppies, shrimp and grits, bbq, peach cobbler, etc. Did I miss anything??

Anyway, we are in the beginning of the planning stage and really only have our flights and hotel and a few ideas of food joints to hit up. Recommendations are always welcome. Maybe we can find a sporting event to attend to combine my three favorite passions. I suppose if I find a food challenge to participate in, that would technically be classed as an athletic endeavor, no? I was starting to get nervous that I would go a full year without flying to a lovely travel destination, but rest assured this trip is booked for three days before the one year anniversary of my flight home from London, so I am safe!

Super duper excited to explore more of the USA, since my most recent adventures have generally been in Europe and Canada. Don’t get me wrong, I miss my international extravaganzas, but it’s good to cross some places off my America to-see-list too!

Bon Voyage….in a few months!
